Zachary Bassett

DVM, DACVR

Dr. Bassett has had a longstanding interest in veterinary diagnostic imaging.  While working on his undergraduate degree he shadowed in the radiology department at the Texas A&M University Veterinary Hospital. He began his career by attending veterinary school at TAMU, during which he was a student worker in the radiology department. Following veterinary school, he completed a small animal rotating internship at North Carolina State University.  He was fortunate to return to Texas A&M University and complete a residency in diagnostic imaging.  During his residency, he pursued his interest in cross-sectional imaging by focusing his research on rapid acquisition of MRI sequences in small breed dogs with intervertebral disc herniation.  Following residency, he works as a contractor for multiple telemedicine companies, a clinician in a large specialty referral center, and locum at his alma mater.
