Samantha Cary

Samantha graduated from Western Colorado University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology with an emphasis in Pre-allied Health and a minor in Sociology. After graduation, she worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Gunnison Valley Health Senior Care Center and solidified her passion for healthcare. She continued her education at the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program at the University of Colorado Hospital. Samantha is registered in Abdomen, Vascular and OB/GYN through the ARDMS, and is an active member of the SDMS.
Samantha worked for a high volume outpatient imaging practice as the primary sonographer and is skilled in performing various types of ultrasounds and ultrasound guided procedures. With a passion for education, she took on the position of an ultrasound trainer for all the sonographers within her company. In addition to training her peers, she served as a clinical instructor for an ultrasound program where she fostered a spirit for teaching and helping others. Her lifelong love of animals drew her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine where she applies her knowledge of diagnostic ultrasound to help pets in her community. Sam loves being a part of the Denver FUR team!
