Jen Benson
SONOGRAPHER
BS, RDMS, RVT
Jen has always had a passion for animals and animal healthcare. She worked as a veterinary technician for over 15 years before pursuing her education in ultrasound. She graduated from Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in 2010. She holds registries in Abdomen, Vascular, OB/Gyn and Breast. Wanting to share her ultrasound knowledge to the veterinary community, she became a Clinical Educator at Sound in 2016. Her primary role was teaching abdominal and cardiac ultrasound to veterinarians, technicians, and veterinary radiologists. She has spent extensive time teaching at the Sound Academy for Veterinary Imaging, at many veterinary hospitals within the Northeast region, and at various wet labs and conference events. Combining her love of animals with her love of medicine led her to her dream job as a veterinary sonographer! Her passion even goes beyond her day job, as she spends all of her free time on her hobby farm at home in Cornish, NH.
